SIRANO DHE-PAGANON, PHD

Longwood Center for Structural & Chemical Biology

We are a group of structural biologists, biochemists and biophysicists and we believe that a better molecular and structural understanding of proteins reveals novel opportunities for drug development. We provide essential services in these areas as we serve as the Structural Biology Core for Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and surrounding institutions in the Longwood Medical Area. Our key competencies are in:

 • X-ray crystallography
 • Recombinant protein expression and purification
 • Biochemical assays and characterization
 • Biophysical characterization of proteins and their interactions with binding partners
 • Biochemical and biophysical characterization of small molecule binding and mechanism of action
 • In-vitro studies that facilitate development of novel chemical probes, tool compounds, and drug therapies.

We have contributed to numerous projects and determined many structures including kinases, phosphatases, ligases, deubiquitylases, acetylases, deacetylases, methylases, demethylases, and other enzyme classes and protein folds. If you are looking for a partner and collaborator that can help with structural biology, biophysics and biochemistry on your target or target family of interest, please contact us.
